I am co-founder of the Ecclesia Collective, an instigator behind Make Something Day, part of an intentional/missional community affectionately called, Hawthorn House, a Fuller Seminary student and am employed by First Presbyterian Church of San Diego.

Brooke and I stayed up way too late last night finishing 14 new pieces that will be on display today at the trunk show she is part of. What doesn't sell today will be put on display at Alta Coffee in Newport Beach (20 pieces are already on display there). These have been fun pieces to work on. We incorporated elements we haven't used in our collaborative pieces in the past–such as sewing, water colors, hand drawings, hand-drawn lettering, and of course, recycled materials (mostly pages from old discarded books we've found) along with the other techniques we commonly use. Brooke and I have really enjoyed the process of making art together. In the series we just started, we've already made 25 pieces and we are planning another show within the next few weeks. With that in mind, we decided to tweek fireandflowers.com, which was where Brooke was holding her creative stuff. We're now using Fire + Flowers as a label for our work together, as well as hers alone. Our housemate, Greg took some pics of us yesterday that I think are awesome. Mostly because of Brooke (I never like the way I look in pics). She looks stunning! We've also got an etsy page up now for easy purchasing of our work.
